After all these Years
On a recent trip to the west side, we were driving on La Brea en route to Liz's Antique Hardware to get knobs for the upstairs rooms, when we passed Pink's Hot Dogs. Never before had we witnessed a shorter line, and we decided on the impulse to stop and experiment a Pink's dog, after all these years. I was picturing a menu somewhat akin to In-n-Out, but was surprised to find a myriad of choices, including burritos and every variety of topping you could dream up for a hot dog. We settled on a pastrami swiss dog, and a mushroom swiss dog. My Mom and I shared them and we were amazed at how delicious the pastrami dog was. I wouldn't get the mushroom one again, but the pastrami swiss was a revelation.
I can happily report that finally we made it to this LA landmark and sampled the deliciousness that made Pink's famous.
