Good thing we're close to LA

Tina, my Mom and I went down to LA to the fabric district on a quest to find bright pink velvet for my chair cushion the other day. We hit up our favorite place, Michael Levine, and luckily we scored with the perfect fuchsia velvet for a great price and now I have my adorable chair, with its almost blinding pink cushion.

After our fabric success, we celebrated at Bottega Louie, a wonderful bakery/eatery reminiscent of Laduree in Paris. I was in heaven, they had viennoise, a lovely soft, sweet bread with dark chocolate bites in it. We also had to try one of the macarons. I particularly liked their packaging.

I mentioned in my last post that we went to Liz's antique hardware to get knobs, and I found the perfect knob for the three built-in drawers in my room. They are antique glass, with gold outlining.

  1. I'll bet your room at your new house is just fabulous. I'll also bet it makes it hard to go back to living in a rented room for another year in Provo.
