Spring?!?

I always knew I was affected by the weather and this past weekend just reaffirmed my attachment to the sun. Thursdays are normal ski days for us Frame kids and we had a brilliant day. Heather came up with Ryan's best friend Cory who is going to law school out in DC. He was on his spring break. I've forgotten what it's like to have a spring break so I just have mini spring breaks every week when I go skiing. It turned out to be a glorious week, with 3 solid days of skiing. Tuesday was one of the best days I have ever had. There were 16" of fresh powder and we skied Wilbere for almost 3hrs just floating through the trees on fresh lines. The sun was our constant companion each day and it made me smile. I would sit on the lift, close my eyes and just bask. It felt like a dream and school was the furthest thing from my mind.

Saturday we had a posse breakfast at Guru's. I was surprised by how good the food was. I did some laundry and then Paige and I drove up to Sundance for a snack. It's a new tradition of ours to head up there on gorgeous days. We sat beneath the ski hill and watched the little kids fly down the hill doing pizza. I remembered when I was a little kid flying through the trees and loving raw speed. I love that skiing has been a constant in my life since I was 3yrs old. My Mom tells me I didn't always love it; thank heaven they kept me doing it because now it is one of my favorite activities. My tally is up to 25 days this year, not bad for being a full time student.

Saturday night we went to the Rugby game and watched our team kill Wyoming. Rugby to me is the epitome of masculine sports, complete with grunting and tackling. I'm surprised anyone comes out in one piece. Their uniforms were fantastic. Navy and white striped jerseys, very fitted, and short navy shorts, perfect for showing their super strong legs. We enjoyed the game very much. It was the rare weekend where being in Provo didn't bother me much at all.

  1. haha! I loved your last line - being in Provo didn't bother me much. That's great. So is it true that Taylor made off with my strawberry muffin? Ah well, either way - I need to make muffins. I've loved this beautiful day, I can already feel my skin absorbing all the light. I'm so white, I need it so badly. Spring isn't so much just about the warmth - it seriously seems like the sun shines with more power? Am I right? Talk to you soon!
