Full Circle

My first blog post was about photography and now I have come back to that brilliant medium that I find so fascinating. This time, though, the exhibit is not a professional one. Sunday night Paige and I watched Age of Innocence, a rather unsatisfying film directed by Martin Scorsese. After it finally ended, we opened Photobooth on Paige's high-powered Mac, which I am coveting primarily for this feature. We spent the next hour shooting random pics, using props from my thoroughly stocked room and just being ourselves. First, we shot reaction pictures of our feelings about the film, wanting to strangle Daniel Day Lewis as the main character for marrying the woman he didn't love.

Then we progressed to warrior shots using my mirror and flower card-holder as our weapons of choice. Next, we dawned an array of necklaces, headbands and flowers to spice things up and threw in a pile of my old books. Courtesy of the quality lighting in my room, consisting of one 60W bulb overhead, the colors needed a bit of adjusting, but thanks to a little fiddling by Paige, we came out with these beauties.

  1. Oh my word, those pics are FANTASTIC. Seriously. My favs are 1) looking through the frame, 2) behind the books, and 3) anger and frustration. Thanks for sharing!
