Then the real treasure, Luckett's. I knew from the second we drove up that this was an amazing place, unlike anything I had ever seen. We browsed the outdoor area first, with all the mantels, light fixtures, doors, garden ornaments, etc, and I wanted to purchase a very large quantity of things, which were also reasonably priced. It was sort of an economical phenomenon, where what I wanted to pay and what the price actually was, equated. Then we hit the inside area, where I discovered a whole other trove of prize items. I picked up some vintage trim which I intend to use on my sewing projects this summer. We got in the car again, and whizzed over to Wit's End, another little shop housed in an old home. They had many more smalls, less furniture, but I picked up a fabulous glass footed pitcher (very small).
This outing changed my perspective about the possibility of living out on the other seaboard. Thank you Rachel. And don't worry, I will read In Defense of Food.

Oh my goodness! Where is this! I must go.. I need a head board and I am thinking some old doors... See any doors?
