Brugge is a little town in Belgium that hasn't changed much since the 16th century when they hit a recession and nothing was modernized. Thank heaven for that because it is charming in its age. We did a bike tour through the town with a guide named Jos who made the history comical and applicable. I only have a few pictures because the photo DVD from Rachel is now stuck in my Mac Powerbook where I can't get the pictures off it. I love technology. But I do have a few pictures of Brugge so you can see what it is about. I have never seen so many chocolate shops as I saw in Brugge. I got some beautiful chocolate creations, and most of it was incredibly delicious. I realized I absolutely love marzipan in dark chocolate. I found a fabulous store called Dille and Kamille that is basically a Belgian Crate & Barrel. I got some fun cupcake liners for my Mom, red and white twine and aesthetically pleasing pink and white mints. The other delicacy in Brugge were the Belgian waffles, hot off the iron, smothered in dark, silky chocolate. I could have died happy after consuming it.

ReplyDeleteI am jealous of your travels! I can not wait to get back to Europe! I am so disconnected from you and your life out here! We need to talk soon!! I think I could die right now just from living vicariously through your waffle consumption. Sounds absolutely fabulous! Love you Haley!
