Additions

Santa was good to me this year. I was completely satisfied with simply being at home with my family, but apparently I was extra good this year and Santa bestowed some excellent gifts on me. I had been wanting a lucite chair and voila! I now have a comfortable lucite chair which gets daily use in my room, right by the door. In the same lucite vein, I was bestowed with a display pedestal, now positioned next to my bed, with a stack of my old books underneath. I love how the sleek, sharp edges of the lucite contrast with the haphazardly stacked, imperfect, colorful books. While at home, I purchased a pair of mounted antlers from the Pasadena Antique Mall, and they are now perched on my plate wall. I would love having an entire wall of antlers, but these kinds of things are best acquired over years, one piece at a time. Christmas break was crowned by five days at the beach house, with sun-kissed days and cheery visitors. I soaked in the sun, read a book about Abraham Lincoln, surfed, and hit up the antique stores in Agoura Hills. No disappointment.
