The scriptures tell us that where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. I now present to you some treasured moments.
We drove up to Utah and Sunday we participated in the afternoon session of general conference in the conference center. Last conference I was serving on the island and got to watch only the sunday afternoon session, and this was so special for me to be there with my family (well, the available part) and hear the apostles and prophets address us. A very sweet spirit was present as the choir sang I'm trying to be like Jesus, and throughout the whole meeting.
Of course, with the Frames, there cannot be momentous occasions without food being involved, so there was the necessary inclusion of the Silver Fork Lodge. The first course is their thick, indulgent hot chocolate, topped off with fresh whipped cream.
This is no Swiss Miss. Then you progress to the sourdough pancakes with apple compote. There is nothing like these pancakes, they are a culinary wonder.
My Mom went with the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries.
We also had the immense pleasure to be there when Lance opened his mission call. It was miraculous that it came on our last day up in Utah, and we gathered with a group of Lance's 40 closest friends to witness the decisive moment. Of course, also in Frame fashion, as Taylor starts to film the opening, the battery dies, and we are left with this small clip of Lance's opening. He has been called to the Peru, Piura mission. He reports to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, UT August 24th. He will speak Spanish. We are all stoked for his service.
Those pancakes take me back to Blue Bucks! You and your mom look so cute. So jels, tastiness. Hay, that boot camp regiment did you good girl, you look great in these pics!
ReplyDelete*Loving Lances conference outfit, haha! Way to go Lance, Peru!
